All About the Crop Doctors

I’m first and foremost, a mom to two fantastic young adults and have been married to my "habit" supporting husband for 30 years.  I have lived and worked on the Space Coast almost my entire life.  After 15 years of teaching middle school science, I am happy to report that I am retired and able to scrapbook full time!  

I started scrapbooking when I was pregnant with my first child, nearly 26 years ago, when a close friend invited me to “scrapbook”.  I had no clue what she was talking about, but before I left her house, I was hooked! In my search for scrapbooking supplies, I discovered stamping and have been addicted to it as well.  I was so fortunate to work and teach in both a stamping store and scrapbooking store for several years. The biggest blessing that came out of working in both of these stores, were the lasting friendships that I made, especially the one I made with Stacy.  

After dealing with some health issues, and losing my creative mojo for a few years, Stacy dragged me (and I mean "dragged" me) to a scrapbooking retreat and in the end, I actually felt better.  After she took me to a different event, I soon recognized that scrapbooking was more than a hobby for me, but it was also therapy.  About 10 years ago, Stacy and I decided to combine our talents and passion to create weekend retreats. We hope we've created special events that not only we would love to attend, but ones that give other paper crafters a getaway that provides them the environment to preserve their family memories and a place to unwind from everyday responsibilities and truly enjoy themselves.

I grew up in in beautiful Destin, Florida. A couple of years after graduating from high school I decided to join the Air Force and I spent the next twenty years in military service. I retired from the military and have been looking for a way to express my creativity full-time ever since. 

I started scrapbooking when I was a kid but really got serious once my child was born over 27 years ago. I live in Rockledge, Florida and share my home with my husband, two Dobermans, and two cats.  Our son is off living his dream as a Mechanical Engineer and traveling the US.  He owns his own business machining parts and also making sculptures out of aluminum.  Check out his work at www.alpeaks.com.  Just a proud mama here!  

Tammy and I have both been involved in many levels of the scrapbooking industry for over 30 years.  We've taught classes from beginning scrapbooking to complex techniques in various venues and stores for many of those years. Not only have Tammy and I been friends for many, many years; together we bring a gigantic love for this hobby/lifestyle to all of our retreats.  Tammy and I have a common desire to organize and bring crop events to everyone else who loves scrapbooking as much as we do.
